This drawing is very beautiful and detailed. How do you do it?

I'm glad that you like it, it was drawn from a to-scale medical skull that was created for medical professionals. So the drawing is detailed because the skull itself is detailed =). It was drawn in blue animation pencil.

The drawing is great and certainly makes a great shading reference for when you don't have the real thing!!!

You've created a great reference here! These skulls are amazing... I'm trying to decide if you used blue pencil and touches of black ink, or just blue and black pencil. Which was it? :)

I was wondering if you'd mind if I pinned this to an anatomy board I'm creating on Pintrest? I thought it was best to ask first, especially since I was wondering if you'd like to be credited as YukeraYasha or by another name.

I haven't yet clicked on your other Life Drawing studies, but I'm looking forward to them! Your level of detail bespeaks both patience and dedication to the craft! :)

hi! thanks very much for your interest =). I think I ended up using blue colerase pencil and a 2B graphire pencil.
Thats fine! You can credit me as YukeraYasha, and I'd very much appreciate it if you could link me to the board, I'd really love to see it! Also if it's not too much trouble, I always appreciate a link on the site, back to my DA page.
Thanks very much for asking and for the compliments! ^_^

Thanks for responding! I'm not really sure what a colerase pencil is, but I'm going to have to look it up. :)

That's the board that I pinned your work to, take a look at it when you have a chance and let me know if I should change anything! Thanks again!

Each drawing took about 2-4 hours depending on the angle or the bone. The skull and pelvis took closer to 4 hours, the vertibrae closer to 2 hours.
