BLOG: [link] PORTFOLIO: [link] TUMBLR: [link] I thought I had uploaded these a long time ago =/ Very very odd... Anyways, some pixel art stuff that I did! It's not really traditional pixelling. Apparently TRADITIONAL pixel art does not use stuff like layer attributes. I sort of do "Hybrid" Pixelart for the environments because I treat it as a painting first, and as pixelart second. this was the third one I made, with crooked house being the first, and igloo being the second.
Great lighting! Especially on the trees, which being a much different color would be especially hard to add the bright, fiery lighting to with such a limited palette. The volcano itself was colored beautifully and smoothly. The only thing that I personally find stands out too much are the rocks and cracks at the bottom because of their contrast with the rest of the ground, though from a glimpse it looks just as splendid as the rest.
There is a Putting Edge in Brampton that has a huge volcano at the end of the rounds that glows under the black lights and they have pieces of rock and fire hanging from the ceiling as if it was erupting and your volcano TOTALLY makes me think of that....which in turn makes me wanna go mini-putting haha The whole scene is very prehistoric looking to me I imagine a dinosaur walking out from the trees on the side of the volcano (which I love by the way! They look awesome!) The lava flow also looks great! You have just the right amount of shades and highlights in it. Amazing my dear!
lol, mini putting is totally awesome XD the last time i went i got like... 3 holes in 1 lol. Twas a good day. My friend has a hat from australia and i totally commandeered it haha Thanks ^_^ I've found that I like pixel lava lol
